Position: Polisher
• Entry level position
• Day Shift
• Markham Area
If you are a hardworking and committed worker, experienced with manufacturing of steel tubing; you will be interested in this full-time position in the Markham area.
The Company
Our client is a top leader with many years’ of experience in manufacturing of custom tubing components.
Position Summary
• You will be working on polishing cutters
• Must be able to use small hand tools and machinery
• Ability to do repetitive work sharpening cutting tools
• You will need to check that quality meets expectations according to specific work orders
• Complete production logs and reports as required
• Disposing of scrap and packaging when needed
Skills and Knowledge
• Demonstrates responsibility, initiative and good attitude
• Must be detail oriented and a perfectionist
• Good communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot by being aware of deficiencies
• Able to maintain good working relationships with co-workers and supervisors
Working Environment
• Manufacturing environment, machinery, equipment and tooling
• Hot, noisy environment
• Steel toed safety shoes, and all personal protective equipment
