General Production Position – Entry Level (Day Shift)
📍 Markham Area
🕒 Day Shift
💲 $19.00/hour
Position Summary
This is a great entry-level opportunity with potential for advancement into the quality department.
As part of the Small Diameter Department, you will:
- Inspect product quality using measuring devices and small tools
- Complete production logs and required reports
- Perform regular monitoring and routine inspections
- Operate machines such as a line cutter
- Feed steel tubes to a length stop and activate the saw to cut material to size
- Use tools including calipers, micrometers, and plug gauges
Skills & Knowledge
- Responsible, reliable, and demonstrates a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to identify deficiencies and troubleshoot issues
- Works well with coworkers and supervisors
- Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
- Physically capable of lifting up to 22 lbs.
Working Environment
- Manufacturing environment
- Hot and noisy conditions
- Required: Steel-toed safety shoes and full personal protective equipment (PPE)
